QRCORE is an aesthetic movement pioneered by Brain Wash Only. Launched in 2022 with our innovative Towards QR Code Bucket Hats, the Brain Wash Only QRcore Collection has expanded to encompass a wide range of apparel, accessories, and home décor. From socks to suitcases and beanbag covers, the subversive QRcore aesthetic can be found in almost any environment or application.

 

🔳 BEHIND THE AESTHETIC

QRcore deconstructs and subverts the utilitarian nature of the QR code, transforming one of the Information Age's most recognizable symbols from a tool of utility into an object of style, symbolism, and identity.

QRcore emerged as the flagship design feature of Brain Wash Only at the brand’s inception. It parallels the release of Indie band PROPAGNDA’s first album Towards,  as its official merch line. The collection has since evolved beyond its initial concept, gaining traction in contemporary underground fashion. QRcore has gained prominence in distinct aesthetic communities. From tech punk, cyber grunge, and psytrance ravewear to Japanese streetwear and alt-coded techwear fashion, QRcore aesthetic pieces are appearing more and more in understated everyday wear, serving as standout statement accessories or basics.
